Bexhill Caring Community provides a range of services for the elderly, housebound and lonely in Bexhill. Our aim is to help people stay in their own homes for as long as possible and we are looking to appoint further Trustees for the Charity.
Services provided include:
- Dial-a-ride for people unable to use public transport
- A Community Car Service taking clients to medical appointments
- Introduction to self-employed carers, domestics, gardeners, handymen and shoppers
- Home Library Service for the Housebound
- Volunteer Befrienders
- Bi-monthly Lunch Club
- Sale of Mobility Aids
- Help to fill out Attendance Allowance and Blue Badge Forms
Trustees are needed with relevant specialist skills in the following areas:
- Social and care work
- Finance
- Welfare Legislation
- Buildings
- Fund Raising
Trustees should also be prepared to support all aspects of the work of the Charity.
